John Malkovich is President Snow
The award-winning actor John Malkovich stars in promotional ads and plays the on-screen character, President Snow in the new London stage adaptation, The Hunger Games: On Stage. Filmed at Sugar Studios, President Snow’s role is a pre-recorded performance that is integrated into the production.
The show premiered in October 2025 at London’s Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.
The Hunger Games: On Stage is written by Olivier Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson, adapting the first book from Suzanne Collins’ series, and the first film from Lionsgate’s dystopian film franchise. The show is directed by Matthew Dunster.
The Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre is a new 1,200 seat venue designed specifically to host this production. Viewers are seated in Districts in accordance to the show’s narrative.

John Malkovich said in a statement according to Deadline: ‘I’m delighted to join the World Premiere production of The Hunger Games in London, bringing this iconic story to the stage. Playing President Coriolanus Snow will be thrilling, because I have long been an admirer of Suzanne Collins’s novels, the films and Conor McPherson’s writing, and it is a privilege to take on this role.’
